Founder

Dr. Christine Landry Elliott, ThD, MA, Master in Counseling is the Executive Director/ Founder of S.C.A.R.S. Outreach and Empowerment Ministry. She gave birth to this Ministry out of the pain, struggles, and scars from her own traumatic experiences, consequently from her drug addition and criminal involvement. As a survivor of domestic violence and rape, Dr. Ellliott has first-hand experience in learning how to cope with life-threatening situations that life at times presents.  She has overcome many hardships and difficulties that more than qualify her to share, teach, mentor, and empower women and youth her passion is bringing hope to the hopeless and assisting individuals to discover their Divine Purpose in life to impact the lives of others for Kingdom Purpose. Dr. Elliott is committed to enabling, informing, impacting, and empowering the lives of individuals needing support to overcome emotional distress, spiritual conflicts, and other life challenges.

Mission

The Mission

As a Spiritual Based Outreach Program, governed by Biblical and Practical Principles, S.C.A.R.S, mission is to provide mentorship for women and youth needing additional / continual support. Promoting healing from traumatic experiences. S.C.A.R.S. is a Ministry designed as an integral and passion-drives community which provides spiritual recovery strategies that aids in support with OVERCOMING personal struggles, and most of all to serve as a resource bringing them into wholeness and a quality of life

The Vision

S.C.A.R.S Outreach Ministry is geared to inspire, encourage, empower, motivate, and promoting change in the lives of women and youth struggling with their spirituality and those needing support in establishing a quality of life. S.C.A.R.S will also be an Empowerment Ministry that collaborates with other Churches and Outreach Ministries that will promote Mentorship, Spiritual Counseling, along with networking with Community Resources and other programs
